Christian Learning Centers

Little Lambs Christian Learning Center is a ministry of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.  We are located in the downtown area of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.  We have provided quality child care, preschool, K4, and school-age programs for more than 20 years.  Our objective is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum to enhance development in the areas of social interaction, large and small motor, language, self-help and cognitive skills in a Christian environment.
 
 

Child Care Program

Child care is offered for children between the ages of 6 weeks through 10 years old. Our preschool program is included in our full-day child care for children ages 2 and older.  Our child care program offers:
  • Guidance and encouragement to learn and be cared for in a safe and positive environment
  • Activities to promote growth in all developmental areas
  • Opportunities for large motor play inside and outdoors
  • An experienced and knowledgeable staff in early education

Preschool Program 

Our preschool classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., full or part-time, and are intended for children 2-4 years old.  Our preschool program offers:
  • Pre-reading, math, and science readiness
  • Music and art appreciation
  • Social interaction with peers
  • Independence and self-help skills

K-4 Program

Our K-4 program is offered to children with an option of full-time or part-time and also with a full or half-day (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) option.  Our K-4 program offers:
  • A strong academic focus on pre-reading and math skills
  • Theme-based science and social studies
  • Art, music, and physical education
  • Computer work and instruction
  • Individualized instruction
  • Small group size

Center Information

  • State licensed child care and preschool center
  • Infants (6 weeks) to 10 years
  • Full-time (5 days/week) or part-time (minimum of 2 days/week)
  • Small group sizes
  • Library with book check out
  • Outdoor playground
  • Indoor gym
  • Open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

February Activities at Little Lambs

 
On Thursday, February 10th, the Dinosaur and K-4 classes will host our annual “Family Night”. This is an exciting evening filled with entertainment by the children and a special valentine family project.

On Valentine’s Day our children will exchange valentines and have a special Valentine lunch.

During the month of February, we will continue to meet with Pastor John on a weekly basis and learn new songs to sing for First Wednesday! Happy Valentine’s Day!
